DANCE SOCIALS

When students attend dance socials, it helps reinforce all the things taught and practiced in group classes and private lessons.  Since the goal for most of our students is to be comfortable, confident social dancers, this is the best way to practice and master all you've learned.

Dance socials are held every Saturday evening from 8-11pm with a lesson at 7:30. The type of dances are wide ranging from the more formal Foxtrot, Waltz and Tango to the up tempo Swing, Cha Cha, Samba and Hustle.

The socials are open to the public and attract new and experienced dancers from the quad state area. The cost is $15 for the entire evening and includes appetizers and cash bar.  For couples, it is a great 'date night' and singles enjoy the opportunity to meet and dance with people of similar interests.

Once a month, the studio hosts a Latin Night where the focus is on Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha and other Latin dances.  A lesson is taught at 9 with dancing going on past midnight.  The cost is $10 for these Friday events.

We also host monthly Sunday Milongas for Argentine Tango and Swing Socials with East and West Coast Swing, Lindy and other types of up tempo dancing.  Check our websites calendar for these monthly events for time and cost.

Dance socials provide the opportunity to meet and associate with people who are active, have healthy attitudes and are looking for ways to improve the physical and mental well-being.  Many long-term friendships and business relationships are created at these socials.

There is something about getting up and moving to music that improves our overall health, cements partnerships and brings people closer together.

Showcase Routines

Showcases allow the students to work on a particular dance for a limited time with no judging or competition. It's similar to piano recitals kids do when they show off their progress to friends and family. Most of our showcases also include a professional show with some of the top dancers in the world performing choreographed routines. Sunday, April 29, 2018
